Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data the JobVisor browser extension and website ("the Service") handle, how it is used, and the choices you have. JobVisor is built for job seekers — particularly international students — and privacy is core to how it works.

The short version. Your resume stays on your own device. We have no user accounts, we never sell or share your data, and we don't track you across the web. When you run an analysis, the job text and your resume are sent securely to be processed and the result is returned — we don't keep them on our servers.

1. What we handle

2. How your data is used

To produce an analysis, the job description and the text of your resume are sent over a secure connection to our processing server (a Cloudflare Worker), which forwards them to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the sponsorship insights, resume match score, and recommendations. The result is returned to your browser and shown in the overlay.

The anonymous install ID is sent with each request solely so the server can count how many free analyses you've used that day.

3. What is stored, and where

4. What we never do

5. Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run the Service: Cloudflare (hosts the processing server) and Anthropic (performs the AI analysis). They process data only to deliver the Service and under their own privacy and security commitments.

6. Your choices and control

7. Children

JobVisor is intended for job seekers and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
